About Madison Moore

Madison Moore is a senior journalism major at the Roy H. Park School of Communications with a double minor in women’s and gender studies and the honors program. Madison is also a part of the Park Scholar Program at Ithaca College. During her time at Ithaca College, Madison has been crafting her skills to become a broadcast journalist. She has had experience in both broadcast and print journalism through Ithaca College’s student-run media organizations and through her internships.
Madison is currently working as a part-time weekend MMJ/Reporter at WSYR-TV NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse, NY. Before that, Madison interned with Dateline NBC in Los Angeles and worked on a high profile breaking news case about the Idaho missing kids. Madison has also held broadcast news internships with WROC-TV in Rochester, NY helping to report on local issues and with CBS News London where she helped to cover the Extinction Rebellion climate protests and the arrest of Julian Assange. Madison has worked on numerous television news shows through ICTV, Ithaca College’s student-run television station. During the Fall 2020 semester, Madison hosted and produced ICTV Reports, a long-form investigative news magazine and worked as an anchor for the stations weekly newscasts. Madison also anchored live Election Night coverage for the 2020 presidential election.
Madison loves to hike and enjoy nature in her free time. She has a love for volunteer work and has worked with the Women’s Opportunity Center in Ithaca, NY for the past four years and volunteered with the Garden Club of Jacksonville, Florida and WRFI Community Radio Station in Ithaca, NY. Madison has a passion for social justice and politics and hopes to apply these interests to her reporting in the industry.
